Amazing experience!
Vega Sotuélamos is a cheese company based in Chinchilla de Montearagón, Albacete, Spain. I did my final internship here as a media designer. During my time here, I worked on various assignments that allowed me to expand my competencies in several ways.
At Vega Sotuélamos I learned what it is like to work for an international foreign company. I learned to communicate in different languages, to work in a ”Spanish” way and I became acquainted with the different design rules that differ per country.

Packaging
Vega Sotuélamos has diverse types of packaging for transporting the cheeses. The packaging depends on the contents but also on the customer. To communicate this with the customer in a professional and clear manner, I and Maaike Meijer started working on a catalogue. I took several photos of the packaging for the catalogue. So that we could edit it in Adobe Photoshop. We created the catalogue in Adobe Illustrator and is in the same style as the Cheese catalogue.

During the Christmas period I completed several assignments. For the company party I designed the Christmas menu, I made a Christmas card for the employees and for international customers and I made a cheese Christmas tree with the cheeses that Vega Sotuélamos sells.
The assignment I am most proud of are the cheese Christmas baubles. I made these Christmas baubles in Adobe Photoshop for Maaike Meijer. She used these baubles to decorate a digital Christmas tree. This Christmas tree was used for the local cheese magazine.

Cheese labels
Customers like to see what the product looks like before they buy it. That is why I and Maaike Meijer were instructed to provide all photos of the cheeses with the correct label. These are more than 80 labels that need to be placed on more than 300 photos. To make it easier for myself and for the future, I made a mock-up of the cheeses in Adobe Photoshop. This allows the label to be changed within seconds when necessary.

Arranging an internship abroad is quite a job. Not only do a lot have to be arranged for school, but you also have to arrange a place to sleep, insurance, and so on.
My internship supervisor therefore wanted a presentation that would help the new interns arrange their internship abroad. In the presentation, I and Maaike Meijer provide tips and points of interest on these topics. The design considered the corporate identity of the Vega Sotuélamos website.

Interactive catalogue
Vega Sotuélamos is an international company. They have a digital catalog so everyone can see what they sell. I thought it would be useful to make this digital catalogue interactive.
If the customer is interested in a product, he can click on the cheese and he will be immediately redirected to the website. This makes ordering easier and increases the chance that the customer will order more. I have linked the catalogue to the Vega Mancha website. This is the international part of the company.

Vega Gourmet is part of Vega Sotuélamos. It has its own corporate identity and labels. Me and Maaike made a presentation in the style of Vega Gourmet for a colleague. With the design we took the Vega Sotuélamos presentations (the three slides on the right) into account. We chose to only change the colors because the content of the text hardly differs. By placing the cuña half in front of the black background, your image is drawn to the cheese more quickly than to the black background.
